► Important information:

The visa office is open from 10:00 am to 02:00 pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm except on public holidays. 

All visa applications are processed within 5 days. 

Incomplete applications may cause delay in processing. 

Applicants may pick up their passports at the Embassy or send a prepaid self-addressed express envelope (It is recommended that applicant send a return envelop with a tracking number to be able to track the envelop.)

• A valid passport
• A copy of the passport
• Two (2) recent passport size photographs (Please glue them on the application forms)
• Two (2) completed application forms 
• A copy of an airline itinerary or a flight ticket 
• A copy of the yellow fever certificate 
• Applicants for a transit visa must submit copies of their onward tickets and visas to their destinations. 
• Tourists must submit copies their hotel reservation 
• The appropriate fee

For Business visa

• A valid Passport
• A copy of the passport
• Two (2) recent passport size photographs (Please glue them on the application forms)
• Two (2) completed application forms
• A company cover letter with the purpose of the trip 
• A copy of the yellow fever certificate
• Copy of the hotel reservation
• The appropriate fee

visas fees:
• VISA TRANSIT: 1-3 jours: $60
• VISA COURT SEJOUR: 3 mois $77 
• VISA LONG SEJOUR: 3 mois - 12 mois $116  



The visa fee should be paid in money order (payable to the Embassy of Mauritania) or cashier's check. Cash or Personal checks are not accepted.

This fees are not refundable.

The visa application must be submitted in person or via a messenger. If the applicant chooses to submit his/her application by mail via messenger or private company the Embassy cannot guarantee the mail service and will not assume any responsibility for the loss of documents.
